Visit the SRRC this summer!
This summer, we are focusing on the problems caused by litter in the sea. A newly built path to the mountain of nets at the far end of the SRRC terrain ensures that every visitor can get to the foot of the towering mountain. Along the path there is an exhibition of photos showing the problems caused by litter in the sea.
We are also offering several activities to do with fishnets. We want to use this litter in a positive way, by making beautiful things from it. In August, we will be hosting the workshop ‘Making bags from fishnets’.

These so-called Message Bags are handy for carrying your shopping in, but they also carry a message. Namely: ‘a clean and safe living environment for everyone’. You will be designing your own ‘message’ bag with the help of Irma van de Mee, the inventor of this idea. The Workshop takes around 2,5 hours and will take place on the following dates:
Monday 2 August (at 1:00 PM)
Tuesday 3 August (at 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM)
Monday 16 August (at 1:00 PM)
Tuesday 17 August (at 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM)
Wednesday 18 August (at 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM)
Tuesday 31 August (at 1:00 PM)
Wednesday 1 September (at 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM)
The workshop costs € 29,50. This includes the SRRC entrance fee and materials. For reservations, please send an e-mail to rolf@zeehondencreche.nl.
To celebrate the opening of the new path to the fishnet mountain, we will have a temporary bouncy castle at the far-end of the SRRC terrain. Enough reasons for coming to the SRRC this holiday! You will visit us, wont you?07-19-2010 Source: SRRC Lenie 't Hart
