SRRC ready for summer!

During the May break you are very welcome at the SRRC. Every day, you will be able to see how the seals, that came in weak and diseased in the last couple of months, are now being lovingly cared for. In the outdoor pools you will be able to see the rehabilitated animals swimming around happily and enjoying the spring sun. Soon, they will be released back into the Wadden Sea! From our new catering tent you will be able, while enjoying our refreshments, to enjoy this scene. Will you visit us during the May break? We have lots of fun on offer.

Delicious breakfast with unique local products at the SRRC

This breakfast costs € 13,50 per person and includes the entrance fee, guided tour and film. For children up to 3 the breakfast is free and for children up to 10 it is € 10,- per person. It is advisable to book ahead. Reservations can be made on 06-10307347 or send an email to: info@taarteriededis.nl. The breakfast is on offer between April 30th and May 9th.

Seal without a name

Recently, the SRRC has been very busy with many sick seals. Luckily, most of them are now much better and will be released soon. However, we have a problem: some of the seals have not yet been named! Do you know a good name for a seal? Then he will have a nice nameplate on his release basket. At the visitors centre you will be able to buy a coupon for €1,-. On this, you can enter your seal-name and your name and address. At the end of the holidays, we will choose the best name. If you win, you will be awarded a certificate and a photo of your seal. And of course, you will also receive a photo showing the seal’s release. During the Easter weekend some very good names were also thought up. The winning name is Zeebert, thought up by Maarten. Zeebert will soon be going back to sea with this wonderful name on his release basket. Would you like a seal to be given ‘your’ name, then visit us during the May break and enter the competition!

Become supporter in May and receive a seal!

Thanks to our supporters we are able to save hundreds of seals every year and to release them back into their natural habitat. Therefore, the SRRC is always looking for new supporters. Did you know that when you become a supporter and donate a minimum of €25,- a year , you and your family may visit the SRRC for free? And during the May break you will also receive a free cuddly toy seal. Tell us on entering that you are becoming a supporter, fill in the direct-debit-fish and you get immediate free entry to the SRRC. For children we also have a special treasure hunt through the visitors centre and an arts and crafts table. The SRRC, a good cause to visit: Will you come?
