On Wednesday June 3rd the first copy will be presented in Pieterburen to ‘seal-man’ Hessel Wiegman, who plays a large part in Tim and Taco’s new adventure.

Lieke van Duin has written books about the adventures of the two friends Tim and Taco before, for instance about their holiday in Terschelling, but also about the children of the inner courtyard, the new skateboard and the champion of marbles. The series has become very popular. For her new book “Tim and Taco save a seal”, Lieke spent several days with Hessel Wiegman roaming the Terschelling beach, as well as spending a couple of days with the workers and volunteers of SRRC Lenie ‘t Hart in Pieterburen. It has made an exciting and touching book, fun for people of all ages, even more so with Harmen van Straaten’s subtle illustrations.

On Wednesday June 3rd from 3.00 PM until 5.15 PM, the official book presentation will take place at the SRRC in Pieterburen. The festivities will start with the presentation of the book to Terschelling’s ‘seal man’ Hessel Wiegman. He has given hundreds of seals a second chance by bringing them to the SRRC. Afterwards, Lieke van Duin will hold an interactive story-telling performance. To find out what that entails exactly, you will have to come to the SRRC on the 3rd of June. It is going to be a great celebration to which everybody is welcome.

Of course, a signed copy of the book will be on sale afterwards for € 10,95.
