Lenie 't Hart reads aloud at the Storytelling Breakfast

Lenie with the youngest
Breathlessly, the children of primary school OBS De Meent in Schildwolde listened to stories read by Lenie ‘t Hart, as part of the National Storytelling Breakfast. The youngest enjoyed “The solitary seal” and the senior year listened to some chapters from “Holes in your tongue and tracks in the sand”. The latter was written by Gré van der Veen for the SRRC’s 25 year jubilee and was published by the SRRC in Gronings (the Groningen dialect) and Dutch.
Lenie and the senior year
The children – most of whom were wearing their pajamas and had brought their favorite toy – were enthralled and fired questions at Lenie afterwards. Every year, a number of well-known Dutch people are invited to read stories at schools during the national Storytelling Breakfast, to show that they consider reading aloud important too.
