This would be great because, as you know, we could make good use of this money. We could begin with the highly necessary improvements on the seal accommodations. Unlike other charities, the SRRC has hardly any reserves in the bank and therefore we are crying out for revenue to make it possible to renovate. Will you vote for us? The company 3M (known for its yellow post-its) founded the 3M Foundation in the Netherlands. This foundation aims to support charities en non-commercial organisations that contribute positively to Dutch society. One of the components of the 3M Foundation is the ‘Goede Doelen Gift’: a donation of €50.000 to a charity in the Netherlands. In order to be considered for this donation, a charity can apply via the 3M website. Applications that meet the criteria are given a nomination on the website and are in the running for this € 50.000. Who wins the donation is partly determined by the website’s visitors: They vote for their favourite charity. A jury makes the deciding choice and the prize will be presented at the end of the year.
