Demonstration in Brussels for European import ban on seal fur

On July 1st, an international demonstration will take place in Brussels: to campaign against seal hunting and for a European import ban on seal products. The signs that such a ban will be enforced bode well. The Netherlands, like Belgium, has banned the trade in seal products since 2007. These import bans have snowballed: Slovenia has already banned the trade and other EU-countries, such as Germany and Italy, are now busy doing the same.

The demonstration has been organised by various animal rights groups. By demonstrating en masse, we can give the politicians that last push in the right direction. A high attendance is essential to show the politicians that Europeans are massively against seal fur.

You can also take action against the seal hunt and for a European import ban on seal products. The demonstration is being held on July the 1st, and starts at 2 PM on the Wetstraat 175-200 in Brussels, between the Justus Lipsius building, belonging to the European council of ministers, and the Berlaimont building of the European Commission.
