By the end of February the time had come: after two years of saving money and selling homemade magazines, Lone had enough money to adopt ‘her’ seal. With her parents and her brothers she undertook the long journey to Pieterburen, where she personally handed over her hard-saved 500 euros to Lenie ‘t Hart. In a couple of months, when Roos has recovered enough to be able to go back to sea, Lone will personally release her. She is already looking forward to that, even though that will be the end of the adventure with Roos. However, we reckon we will see determined animal lover Lone back at the SRRC before long!
