Once again, Vodafone employees did not receive a traditional Christmas gift. Instead, every employee could recommend a charity that they felt particularly passionate about. After careful deliberation, 15 charities remained that qualified for support this year.
Jenny Camps, coordinator Corporate Affairs, had recommended the SRRC. Partly thanks to her enthusiasm and through the efforts of the Vodafone Netherlands Foundation, the SRRC was invited to come and accept a cheque of no less than 3000,= euros at the Vodafone head office in Maastricht during a festive get together.
The SRRC also had a gift for Vodafone: the exclusive adoption of ‘Jenny’ the seal. This young common seal arrived at the SRRC with a severe lung infection. Now, Jenny is in quarantine where she will receive special care. Partly thanks to Vodafone’s gift, Jenny will no doubt be released a healthy seal in the Wadden Sea in a couple of months time.
