Last Saturday the annual New Year’s get-together of Kids For Animals (the society for the prevention of cruelty to animals’ youth club) of the Rijnmond department was held in Hellevoetsluis. Lenie dropped by to say something about the SRRC”s work and especially to tell the kids what happened to Laurens, the seal that had been adopted last year by the Kids club.
It was a festive afternoon with music from the band ‘Those were the days’ and the highlight was a successful act where, as a surprise for Lenie, dozens of children built an enormous mountain from more than 600 rolled up bath towels.
We can use them to give the grey seal babies, that are expected to arrive this winter, a clean and comfortable bed. Thank you Kids For Animals, Rijnmond!
