Lenie christens motor sloop “Gray Seal” at the Hiswa

Just after the opening of the Hiswa at the RAI in Amsterdam, Lenie ‘t Hart christened Van Wijk Maritiem from Woubrugge’s newest motor sloop model named the ‘Gray Seal’. Managing director Peter van Wieringen is donating €910,= to the SRRC for every sold specimen of this particular powerfully built model. The reports about the large numbers of baby seals that were washed ashore at the beginning of the year inspired him to do this. His plan became possible because his suppliers cooperated with him.

During her speech, Lenie emphasised the grey seal’s positive characteristics: curiosity, independence, cheekiness and great strength,  which was visibly appreciated by Mark Huigen and his family, the new owners of the ship.

Both of his kids, Olivier and Romy helped Lenie enthusiastically with the champagne-christening of their new “Gray Seal”.
