A while ago, four boys from Lemmer, Rienk, Danny, Stefan and Jan-Lyckle started fundraising for our seals. They devised a very original way to raise money by collecting empty bottles. They were so enthusiastic in their pursuit of empty bottles that they even made the local papers. Recently, they came to bring the proceeds of their fundraising activities, no less than € 110,- neatly framed, to Lenie in person. Lenie was very enthusiastic, especially as with their action, the boys had brought the seals to the attention of many people. With their gift the four boys were able to symbolically adopt two young common seals: Hesseltje and Tom, which are both victims of lungworm. Thanks guys!
