Throughout the popular hobby fair ‘Kreadoe’ in Utrecht (with 35.000 visitors from Wednesday to Sunday), the scrap-team, lead by Jenny Doornbos-Straatman, has been very busy. There was a space for the SRRC Lenie ‘t Hart-stand, reserved especially by the Kreadoe-management, where SRRC-worker Meina Wouda informed anyone who would listen about the SRRC. Every day, dozens of fair-visitors, paid a fee of €5,-, so that they could join in making a scrapbook-page about seals and the SRRC, for the largest scrapbook in the Netherlands. On Sunday afternoon, Lenie came to look at the results. She was impressed to see what the enthusiastic team had achieved in only five days. To her surprise, she was asked to accept the proceeds of this creative initiative, which came to an amount of €1000,-. The initiative thanks its success to the support of the Kreadoe management, Jenny Doornbos-Straatman and her colleague scrapbook-enthusiast, Karen Plantinga.
During the fair, the SRRC gained many new supporters under the fair-visitors. To thank them for their support, a daily raffle was held under the new supporters, enabling one of them to win a prize toy-seal. On Sunday, Dianne from Heerlen was the lucky winner.
