As part of the children's book week, SRRC-worker Marrije Verspuij visited the primary school in Meedhuizen to read the kids a story about animals. The children were delighted, and with the help of teaching assistant Suzanne Smit, they started thinking up plays and shows about animals in the week that followed. On Friday, October 13th, the week was ended festively with a theatre show. Parents had to donate a voluntary contribution after every minute of the performance to make the show go on. Lenie ‘t Hart was also invited. She enjoyed the animal adventures enormously and was asked to accept the proceeds of the evening, which as no less than €250,-!
